KRENGEL DENTAL

Innovation in Dentistry: Our Modern Dental Technology

At Krengel Dental, we strive to give you the best care possible. This includes staying up-to-date on modern dental technologies and innovation in dentistry. When you come to see us, you’ll have access to the latest dental technology and the most advanced dental care.

Here is more information about the modern dental technology we use at our clinics:

CEREC

CEREC, which stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, is a dental tool we use to make custom same-day dental restorations. This technology allows us to place a dental crown in one visit, as opposed to multiple visits with previous methods and dental technologies. This method uses CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing) to make these crowns.

CAD/CAM

With CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing) , we use impression-free technology to design porcelain and zirconia dental restorations. This is a same-day procedure, making these dental restorations fast even though they are custom-made.

iTero Scanner

iTero Scanners scan your mouth to give us the capability of visualizing restorative dental treatments—crowns, bridges, veneers, Invisalign, and more—more effectively. It comes with time-lapse technology, so you can see how your mouth will adapt to treatments months and years down the line. We also don’t need to take impressions of your teeth, so there’s no goopy mess to deal with! Lastly, it is radiation-free, so it can safely be used by everyone.

Modern Dental Technology at Krengel Dental

3D CBCT

A 3D CBCT or Cone Beam Computed Tomography Scan is a type of x-ray that we use to see 3D images of your teeth, jawbones, and surrounding areas. It is helpful for planning dental procedures like dental implants, bone grafts, or wisdom teeth surgery.

Diode Laser

We use diode lasers to remove soft tissue, treat gum disease, and treat root sensitivity. They are proven to reduce your risk of infection, promote faster healing, and reduce pain and swelling.

Zoom Whitening System

Zoom Whitening is an in-office whitening system that uses hydrogen peroxide gel and blue LED lights to whiten your teeth. It is non-invasive and customizable to your needs.

Intra-Oral Camera

We use an intra-oral camera to take photos of oral structures inside your mouth for effective patient record keeping and patient education. It helps us find oral problems like gum disease and tooth decay earlier than we would with traditional methods.

Cavitron

Cavitron is an ultrasonic scaling technology that removes plaque, calculus, and stains from your teeth. It helps prevent gum disease and cavities.

Pearl Artificial Intelligence Dental Technology

Pearl is a dental AI technology that analyzes dental x-rays for notable findings and dental diseases. We use it as a second opinion during dental cleanings.
